Crispin Ward

In 2008 Crispin was appointed as Head of Orchestral Studies at the University of Chichester. His role is to take charge of the activities of the performance ensembles and chamber groups, to develop venues and coordinate concerts and tours. With the emphasis on both excellence and diversity this role will help students to realise their performance ambitions.

Crispin is in constant demand as a composer for screen. His company have credits with Disney, BBC, MTV, Channel 4 (UK), Saatchi and adverts for ABN Amro, RBS, NAB, World Wildlife Fund.

As part of his recent production of the Magic Flute by W A Mozart, Crispin wrote a new translation to bring the opera to a 21st Century audience.

With Crispin as musical director, a recent production of Sweeny Todd by Stephen Sonheim won NODA UK National Musical Production of the Year.

The project in Moldova is vital to ensure the continuing success of the orchestral life in this the poorest country in Europe. Musical excellence is one of Moldova's strong points and the development of the orchestras is seen as vital to growth within the economy.
